Muzy Review

Description

Muzy is a photo editor and collage app. This app has some of the most extensive editing capabilities I've seen for a phone application. You can edit pictures, make collages, photoboxes and text boxes. Photos can then be shared on other social media platforms or through Muzy's blog platform. Edited pictures are automatically saved to your camera roll.

Access

Muzy is free and is available for Apple, Android and on the Web at www.muzy.com.

Tips, tricks, and tutorials

There are so many editing options that it's overwhelming. There are filters and items that can be purchased but there is really no need to do so because there are so many choices, purchasing seems redundant. Everything can be done for free.

What the Tool Does Well

Muzy has the best photo editing features by far. The photos seem to have a professional quality after going though the editing process. The HD enhance effect is amazing and really makes a noticeable difference. The color balancing is very accurate. The ability to specifically adjust the contrast, saturation and warmth is very advanced for a mobile app. The blemish treatment and teeth whitening is also very unique in the same sense.

What it Does Poorly

The Photobrush effect is a good idea and gives you the ability to be very artistic with your photographs but the downfall is that you have to be able to select intricate parts of your photo with your touchscreen. If your finger is not able to be precise, this effect is worthless.

What happens when you...

Muzy is meant to be used as a blogging platform after you edit your photos. It is striving to be something like a Tumblr where you can "like", "reblog" and "follow" certain people. You are able to send users messages and interact. Most people just use Muzy as an editing app and import to sharing platforms. I'm sure this was anticipated by the creators, but it is definitely meant to be its own social community and not just the middle man.
