Feedback on Moving Image for Mehek by Alex L

What parts of the moving image object engaged you?

I enjoyed the quick changing of the clips between the shoes.

In what areas is the editing effective? In what areas might it need some improvement? Pay attention to transitions, camera angles, and the purposeful use of linear or non-linear elements. Are transitions distracting? Does this need transitions?

I think that some of the footage like the girl walking in front of the blue background is abit long compared to the action packed rest of the video.

In what ways does sound or the absence of sound affect the narrative and quality?

The sound is high energy and fast paced and keeps up with the chiqueness of the high heels.

What story do you think this tells or argument does it make? How does it relate to the rest of the portfolio?

I think this piece aligns extremely well with the portfolio as it showcases the beauty of the shoes and showcases why people wear them even if they do cause extreme pain.

If using appropriated material, is attribution given? In what ways is the meaning of the original material changed or amplified by the new context?

The remixed material is not attributed but can easily be fixed by editing the description of the video.

If this doesn't have a title, what would you suggest? How does the current title guide the viewing experience?

The title of the piece does not evoke any emotional response and I think a new one can easily replace the title that can evoke emotions or call questions to the viewer’s mind.

How does the design of animated elements, titles, special effects etc. affect the viewing experience?

The quick cuts at the beginning really align the motion of the music and the motion of the images to align quickly.
