Autumns video feedback for AJ

What parts of the moving image object engaged you?

Loved the beginning and the music worked really well with the visuals.

In what areas is the editing effective? In what areas might it need some improvement? Pay attention to transitions, camera angles, and the purposeful use of linear or non-linear elements. Are transitions distracting? Does this need transitions?

You have nice transitions. I really like how you changed the speed and duration of some of the scenes, especially the scene at 14sec in.

In what ways does sound or the absence of sound affect the narrative and quality?

The music is upbeat and adds to the feeling of action. good choice in music for this video.

between 51-54 seconds the sound does something weird.

What story do you think this tells or argument does it make? How does it relate to the rest of the portfolio?

Batman is badass. goes along with portfolio standards. The only thing that its missing is a connection to utd. I thought for sure when he got to the top of the well opening that it would open up to a view of the UTD campus.

If using appropriated material, is attribution given? In what ways is the meaning of the original material changed or amplified by the new context?

You need to cite your references. I like how you start in the tunnel, it lends to the feeling of rising action. I was surprised at all the various sources you used and they all worked really well together.

If this doesn't have a title, what would you suggest? How does the current title guide the viewing experience?

"Ode to Batman" is a very fitting title given the material.

How does the design of animated elements, titles, special effects etc. affect the viewing experience?

You used both live action footage and game/animation footage and paired them really well, making it look natural. good job! :)
