Bloom- iphone/ iPad app

Overview

Bloom lets you create music by touching the screen and at the same time gives you a visual experience with the different tones. The beginning screen is a simple color depending on the mood you choose and as you touch the screen to play different tones, you get a variety of colored circles. You can either create music yourself or you can listen to music that is already there. If left idle, it will create different compositions on its own. It is called a "endless music machine" in one of the reviews I looked at.

Cost

The app cost $3.99 and is accessible on the iPhone and the iPad.

What it Does Well

The app has a variety of moods and choices for the user to customize, which makes it a exponential experience in terms of possibilities. I also like the fact that it has preprogrammed music on it so if you feel like seeing the visualization you don't have to worry about doing it yourself.

What it Does Poorly

I think a good addition to this app would be the ability to record the sounds that you create. I don't know if it is possible but the ability to record the visual would be good as well. The other problem I saw with it is that there is not an efficient way to know what note you are playing by just looking at the screen.
