The Mac version is $29, but I bought it on sale for $18.  I bought it from the manufacturer:  http://www.aimersoft.com/mac-youtube-downloader.html  They have evaluative copies at the bottom of the web page.

What the tool does well

The tool makes it possible to download YouTube videos.  It also is easy to use.  It comes with support.

What it does poorly 

I have not had problems or found limitations with YouTube Downloader for Mac.  One problem with Aimersoft is that the company does not offer a Windows version, but they have more-expensive programs that offer the YouTube downloading feature.

Overview

Final Cut Express is an academic version of Final Cut Pro http://www.apple.com/finalcutpro/ .  Final Cut is a professional-quality video editing program made by Apple.

Users will want to make sure that they have enough hard drive memory to store the videos.  Users need videos—whether self-made or made by others—to edit.

I bought it for $199 from the Apple Store.

What the tool does well

The tool makes it possible to edit professional-looking videos and professional-sounding audio recordings.  Both sound and video can be slowed to the point that clear, exact edits can be made.

What it does poorly

It is difficult to use.  Some MP3 files sound chirpy.  Files require rendering.  It takes a long time to convert final video to Quick Time.
