Aviary Music Creator

http://www.aviary.com/ (Choose music creator)

Overview

Aviary Music Creator allows users to create a sequence of audio thirty-two beats long in 2, 3, 4, 6, or 8 beats per measure.  Using the built-in folders of audio samples, the user can create a loop using a variety of sounds, from drums to piano, or exotic sounds like South India Percussion.  You can choose to load an entire folder into the 12 available beat lines, or mix and match dropping individual sounds from different folders.

Once you have created a series of beats or sounds on the timeline, you can drop in new sounds or entire folders to hear the same sequence of beats using different instruments.  You can adjust pan and volume for each individual track, as well as the velocity of each beat.

Velocity Mode allows you to adjust the volume of individual beats, giving your tracks a more realistic sound as if a human where playing it (dynamics).  Another important aspect of Aviary Music Creator is the tempo and beats per measure settings.

Setting these two settings consistently across multiple projects allows you to seamlessly combine them in other mixing software such as Aviary Audio Editor or Audacity.  Once you are happy with your sequence, you can save it and choose to allow or disallow others in the Aviary community usage of your creation.  You can export the file as an MP3 or a .wav.

There are several choices when it comes to collaboration and sharing.  Under your profile you may choose who can view or listen to your creations, and set the level of copyright you wish:

Mixdown (sequence 1 and 2) - Because both sequences above were created using the same tempo and beats per measure, they combine seamlessly:
