Photoshop Tutorial - Magical Collage

The tutorial teaches users how to build a four piece composition with a star field background. I figured this tutorial would be a good way to teach everyone how to create collages using blending modes/options.

Easiness

The tutorial is mainly targeted towards beginners and lasts about an hour with 28 steps (depending on how comfortable you are with Photoshop). There's nothing difficult about it especially since the tutorial provides detailed images and instructions. Most of the work required is basic knowledge and if you didn't know how to use Photoshop, this would be a good place to start.

Access

It's a free tutorial but if you want the original .PSD file for the tutorial, you have to get a premium membership. I think it's pretty useful since you can have access to all of their tutorials and resources. You can read more here.

Cons

Because it's aimed towards beginners, there's a lot of steps involved (most of which are really repetitive. Other than that, I didn't see anything wrong with the tutorial. The website is usually really good about their tutorials being clear and concise.

Conclusion

I definitely recommend everyone trying it especially if you're not familiar with Photoshop - its a great start. While it teaches you how to make a simple star field collage, you can actually use the same skills to make other types of collages. The point is to learn how to use the different tools.

Here's the end result:

Here's Mine:

I choose to use different photos for fun. I messed with the settings and arrangements a bit as well.
