IMAGE SPARK

"A creative tool that helps you collect, discover, share, tag and converge images that inspire you and your work."

Get started with 1G of upload space and 2 Moodboards to help organize the style you're looking for. FREE.

Image Spark offers a community of people with a wide range of design backgrounds - people who are looking to pull inspiration from a mashup of images coming from the web (sources like Flickr) to their own personally uploaded pics.

It's kind of like Google image search, but better. The designers and people using the website seem to filter out the tacky/lame pictures and leave the better ones. The site offers a more personal "My Stuff" view in addition to a "Community" view where you can see everyone's collections.

The UI is extremely easy to understand and use. Very simple, clean and intuitive. Not sure if it's my internet connection, but the site does seem to run a bit slow. Having to query so many different sources for images - its expected, but makes use difficult.

The Moodboards feature is really what sets this photo aggregation tool apart. It allows you to converge any photos in your collection onto one page and alter the size to impact importance. This allows you to arrange photos and display them in a more meaningful way.

This would be really helpful if creating a photo montage or collection of photos for the still image assignment. Image Spark serves as a great way to organize your ideas with the influence/help of a design community at your reach.
